Joscelin hadn't taken their father's announcement well. He hadn't argued- that would have resulted in being punished- but he had been very quiet since then, and had spent most of the time in his room. Of course the marriage wouldn't be finalized for quite some time yet, but the thought of only having a few more months- at most a year- to spend with Jaime was hard. He didn't want to leave his older brother.

It was Joscelin's chamber. He still had the right to dictate who was allowed in or not at his own discretion- one he would likely lose when he was married. But as long as this room was his, he was not letting his parents in. Ever. Jaime would likely be allowed.
